From our previous working experiences with the poor women, it has been found that the poor women are seriously lacking with skills and capita. If they are provided skills training and capital, they can contribute a lot for the families, which will establish their rights and ownership in the families. So, VOSD has been implementing women’s skill development program supported by IFADEP-1/CEC/MOWA from 1997 in Barisal district and in other district with the support of other donors in different trades. So far, 25000 women have been provided professional skills development training and who have been involved in different income generating activities and earning for the families continuous.
